Sunday River, Maine

>> Friday, March 9, 2012

Weekend before last we took a second annual ski trip with a group of friends that we do a couples bible study with. Last year, most of us were pregnant. This year, we had seven babies! We skied, ate, napped, ate again...it was a great weekend. On Sunday we took the little ones sledding. I definitely found it far more amusing than my little one.

Remi and Laurel
They were born about a week apart.
He was ready to escape before we even put him down.
After we remembered that Laurel is much better at sitting still, we put her in front as the anchor/trap. And as long as we were moving, they were pretty content with the situation.
Sunday River is gorgeous.
And the house where we stayed was pretty nice as well. Here were some of my favorites things.
With seven kids under the age of 5, I'm pretty sure we got the good end of the deal on the cleaning fee...
Can't wait for next year!

Oh Keep on Moving, Keep on Moving on a Fast Train

We took some family photos with our friend Bella on Monday. Although Mr. Sabbes eyes have been artistically excluded by the photographer (everyone has been feeling sorry for him on FB) I love this one.

Topsfield Fair {America's Oldest Agricultural Fair}

>> Monday, October 10, 2011

This past Saturday we took a drive to Topsfield, MA to go to the fair.
Remi was not impressed with Lil Sebastian. Probably because he's not from Pawnee.
Check out this jumbo pumpkin, I love the expression I caught on that guy's face.
And bless this one's heart. I get exhausted sometimes just feeding one little piggy.
No wonder she doesn't care that there are flies on her butt.
Speaking of piggies. I come to fairs for pretty much one thing...
I'm also a big fan of the rides. Mr. Sabbe, not so much. As a former engineer, he thinks too much about it.
Not me, I woke up Saturday and announced, "I want to go upside down today."
Mr. Sabbe prefers to focus his energies on more manly pursuits.
I love fairs.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

>> Tuesday, September 6, 2011

I have been a bad blogger lately. I know. On top of two new projects, I have been focusing a lot of my energy on getting my little guy on a schedule, and then spending most of the weekends messing it up. There is just so much fun stuff to do in New England in the summer! Last weekend we took him to his first Soxs game. We live literally next door to the stadium so we were able to make this little adventure happen between nap times. Due to the approaching hurricane, it was a pretty overcast day. But we got second row seats, so we were not complaining.
