Some Like It Dark

>> Thursday, November 18, 2010

I know, I'm two days in a row with the super dark walls.
The walls look black in these images, but they are actually a deep chocolate brown. I really like how dark walls make everything else pop. Although this room, in sticking with only super dark colors and shades of white, reads so much differently that the one from yesterday. Does it not?Would you ever paint your walls a color this dark?

love love love that bedroom!

I just painted the wall behind my bed pretty dark, it's almost black but had a little navy in it -- I love how it turned out, makes a big impact.

I am one of those "some." I love me some rich, dark, moody walls.

I'm definitely a fan! We had Jon's office painted BLACK, white trim (already had) and leopard carpet. I wouldn't trade it for anything! Makes such a statement in a little space!

I love me some white walls. But I've been liking DARK lately. Maybe for Michael's man room.

P.S. - My husband talked me out of going dark gray for our bedroom. I compromised with 2 shades lighter. Should have gone with my gut.

Those rooms are beautiful! I love when rooms are painted dark and but have light furnishings. To me, it keeps the room light and bright, but with a hint of moodiness.
