Twas the Week After Christmas

>> Tuesday, December 29, 2009

This was our first Christmas with just the two of us. Mr. Sabbe had to work Christmas night and despite how much I miss my family and friends at home, I couldn't imagine leaving the poor man alone on Christmas morning. But, in many ways, the south came to us.

Unintentionally, Mr. Sabbe ended up in a Harry Potter costume on Christmas morning.

Thank goodness my brother-in-law is not in the gift wrapping business. Although he does make a fine card.

And I had the camera in hand just in time to see Miss Zoe make her first attempt at green beans.  As funny as it was, we intended not to let her actually touch anything... we failed. Those little paws are faster than they look.

I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas! Can you believe it is almost 2010?!

These are lovely pictures! Zoe is so sweet - it's great how you captured the series of photos. I didn't know cats liked green beans hehe.

It looks like you had a lovely Christmas...peaceful, quiet...heaven! Ours was just the opposite! :) And that adorable Zoe! Green beans, huh? Our kitty, George, is a lettuce/watermelon fan! :)

I am sorry you had to spend it alone but it looks like you had a great time. I don't which made me laugh more, the Harry Potter costume or the cat and green beans!

I just found your blog and love it. It's great you were able to survive a Christmas up north. :)

I have a spotty cat as well that does the quick draw paw trick on anything and everything she can find but when she tips full coffee cups, it's the worst.

How funny is that! I had a cat growing up that LOVED popcorn... huh?

Looks like your first grown up Christmas went off beautifully and dinner looks like it was FAB!!! Miss you bunches!
