Bare in Berlin

>> Tuesday, December 15, 2009

This sparsely furnished Berlin apartment was designed by architect Olaf Kunkat. It got my wheels turning about how I could fit some of my favorite modern classics into my teeny tiny Boston apartment.

Photography! He had a couple of furniture/ photography pieces in this space. There is the old chair above the bed and then there are molded plastic chairs on a canvas behind that awesome floor lamp. I want a triptych with THIS one {of course}, THIS one, and THIS one. Now who has all three and will let me come over and have a little photoshoot?

I love the use of text as art! I'd quite happily move into that apartment.... (But I don't know if I'd like the chair picture above my bed - the angle the photo is taken from kind of looks like it might topple down onto the bed! Just me being silly)

I totally agree. I post things all the time that I don't love, just for conversation, and I'm not sure about that old chair either or the way he scattered the furniture.

I really like those stools in the kitchen, they are simple yet beautiful!

I HAD EVER PUT ONE ACCENT CARVED WOODEN PILLOW ON HEADBOARD AS ART PIECE...DON'T YOU LIKE IT?
