Neutral Nelly

>> Monday, December 13, 2010

I'm not one to shy away from color, but every now and then I have a project where sticking to a neutral palette just feels right. There is something fresh and calm feeling about each of these tonal spaces.

How about the window behind the cabinet above? Pretty creative use of existing space.
What about you? Do you crave color or are you a neutral nelly?

These are pretty... but I need a pop of color here and there!

I totally crave color, but every now and then I think I might change my mind and want to go all neutral. I think to fix this I just need to have two homes, then I can have one of each :)

That sink in the bottom picture.
Where can I get that?
We are putting in a new bathroom and that is exactly what I want.

Love that first room!

I think it depends on the space. For me, I tend to go more neutral with big spaces that have lots of natural light. I'm become a huge fan of using gray instead of classic beige for neutral spaces too.

I looove the simplicity of the kitchen and the freshness of the bathroom. Beautiful:)

This is the ever present battle in my head. I love both. And I dont know how to do both!?

That kitchen makes me swoon, but where's the funky wall paper or cushion seats.

If you figure this out, let me know......

I'm usually pretty neutral overall, but love pops of color to mix things up a bit!

I love these pix! Now that Xmas is here and I have my decor up, I realize that my style is definitely NEUTRAL! I love color, but too much makes me crazy! I want this kitchen by the way! LOVE! And your Christmas sweater party story...way too funny! Hubs and I laughed over it! Thanks for the laugh you two got the most looks! Ha!

I'm all about neutral. I just find it soothing and relaxing. I like color in other people's homes, but I'm a neutral girl all the way. I think it's classic and timeless.

i think it just depends on my mood. 90% of the time i want COLOR COLOR everywhere, and then 10% of the time i love white + grey + all neutrals.. these are beautiful.

Neutral Nellie, but with pops of color. LOVE that bathroom!

That's a bummer that the Eliot School class was full!

It might be better to take it in the summer anyway though, the class in an unfinished cellar in a one room schoolhouse -- I bet you'd be freeeeeezing if you were in there in January!

All of these pictures are beautiful and I would be fine living in an environment like these..very calming. I can't seem to stay away from color for too long though.

Definitely becoming more and more of a neutral nelly. Love the term!
